For this assignment I was searching around my house for items that would fit on a scanner, have visual interest, have meaning to me, and be pliable. I came upon my "stash" of eaten shoe laces by my cat Henry. I kept them because they were special colors from my puma shoes.
I liked the fact that there were many different colors and textures and the were pliable, movable, and soft.
I spent a lot of time scanning images in having fun with the laces making faces. I got more serious when I added a background. The face didn't seem to work with the background I had picked out.
It was a good learning experience with the scanner I'm glad I had an opportunity to try a lot of things out.
